My Process

To get started, I highly prefer to collect a number of photos, either digital or printed.
If I see possibilities, I collect $50 (nonrefundable) from you for the next steps. This fee will be included in the nonrefundable painting fee if you choose to proceed.
I cull through and crop those I see as the best possibilities.
I email you options, as many as I have.
Once you’ve chosen, I make any needed adjustments digitally (a mock-up) to show you approximately how it will look in the painting. For example, I often have to change a background color to better showcase the main character.
After you sign off on the mocked-up image and a size for the painting, I collect the first half of the agreed upon fee. This first half is nonrefundable.
Then I start painting!
Once I get to a point I’m happy with, I’ll send you an in-progress image.
We talk about any potential adjustments.
After those minor adjustments, and your final sign off, the painting needs to dry for a week or two depending on the thickness of the paint.
Then I varnish the painting, which takes a day to dry.
Once it’s ready to deliver or ship, I collect the final payment.
Then it’s yours!

8x8, 9x12, 10x10, 11x14, or 12x12 inches

Nice sizes for one pet or head and shoulder portraits of one person.

12x16, 14x18, 16x16, or 16x20 inches

Suitable for one pet or head and torso portraits of one person.

$450

18x24 or 24x36 inches

Larger sizes are more suitable for portraits of two pets or one individual, head-to-toe.

24x36 inches & above

Suggested canvas sizes will be based on the number of pets and/or figures. Prices and sizes will vary depending on the references.

All paintings are oil on canvas.

$50 nonrefundable photo consultation fee to start.
1/2 nonrefundable painting fee (less $50 photo consult fee) due once a mutually agreed upon image is selected.
Other 1/2 due upon delivery of the finished piece.
