In The Studio

Seven months ago, I began making moves to focus on painting full-time - processing, letting go, working on being open to flow.

Two bodies of work, all on small (6x6" to 12" circumference) surfaces, have risen to the surface. Both series speak to personal and generational healing. The figures also reference recovery from addiction and dysfunctional family systems. The landscape paintings are leaning toward creating an awareness of the forest, the earth, as a sacred grove to be revered not commodified. I have yet to balance this out with the nature of art as a priviledged commodity.

It'll be interesting, to me, at least, how all these will develop.
