In this ongoing series, I work with remnants of other works (often picked up from the studio floor), marks made from the paint palette, and vintage wood frames bequeathed to me by a friend of the family.
The frames were gifted to me at a time of questioning: am I on the right path, doing what I am meant to do as opposed to what I think I should be doing? As a response, I received a truck load (literally) of art supplies that once belonged to another artist.
The images themselves remind me of the unkown coming into being, into focus, yet still un-named and without identity. Only once each is paired with a frame and Jungian title does the work establish its independence.
